description: Textures are what give each rendered block and item their colorful, detailed appearance.

Texture Atlas

There exist two texture atlases, one for blocks and one for items. Both atlases are 256x256 with the default texture pack, where each individual block face/item is 16x16 pixels. Each block/item shares its textures with every other block, only having a unique appearance by zooming into and showing different parts of the atlas by using differing UV-Coordinates.

The texture atlases are indexed from 0 to 255.
